Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Release Date Reportedly Leaked

It’s hard for Activision to catch a break when it comes to its upcoming games, as it seems to be one of the most hard-hit companies for leaks and rumours. The newly-confirmed Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was hardly a secret to the world, and now it looks like the game’s release date has been revealed ahead of schedule.

As always with leaks and rumours, get that grain of salt at the ready until confirmed.

As noted by known CoD leaker CharlieINTEL, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is allegedly set to reveal a release date of November 13. It’ll be coming to PS4, PC and Xbox One, presumably with some sort of next-gen options too.

The news comes from dataminers who’ve reportedly scouted the date from within the game files of the latest update for CoD Modern Warfare and Warzone. It’s believed the three games will have some tie-in events to help promote the launch of Black Ops Cold War, as has been teased within the games’ Season Five.

Though the date has yet to be confirmed, it seems to be a pretty likely option as CoD games usually launch around October/November each year. With November 13 being the second Friday of the month, it looks like pretty good timing in terms of Black Friday sales (for previous CoD games, of course) and also for the upcoming launch of the next generation consoles, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

Both consoles still have a release window of “Holiday 2020,” though a November release date seems likely for them both.

As the name suggests, Black Ops Cold War will have a heavy focus on the Cold War era, and it’s expected to tie in nicely with current events and teasers we’ve been seeing in the free-to-play Battle Royale, Call of Duty: Warzone.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to get its official reveal – and likely the confirmed release date – tomorrow, August 26.
