Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 players will get early access a week ahead of its planned launch. However, there is a catch.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to the 2019 reboot and it will also bring forth a newer, updated version of the battle royale, Warzone. So, to say that fans of the series are excited about this launch is an understatement.
However, those fans that can’t wait for its initial launch will be able to play Modern Warfare 2 a week early. Unfortunately, in order to do so, you will have to complete a couple of side-quests first.
How Do get early access to Call of Duty MW2?
Firstly, you will need to pre-order Modern Warfare 2. Secondly, you need to pre-order it digitally for PC, PlayStation or Xbox via your preferred digital store of choice. This means that you’ll get access to the game on October 20th, instead of its main launch date on October 28th.
There’s another catch to COD
Fans hoping to get a head start with the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer might be a little disappointed to know that the early access only extends to the single player campaign. Still, at least you can fine-tune your skills through the campaign before jumping into the multiplayer.
During the early access, the entire campaign will be available from start to finish. Plus, if the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) is anything to go by, the rebooted campaign should be an absolute blast.
Call of duty will look and sound better than ever!
According to a PlayStation Blog post, the Modern Warfare 2 reboot will offer “improved lighting to create an even more realistic ambient that will help players fully submerge themselves.”
Furthermore, we can expect improved audio immersing the player more than ever before. So, in other words, it will be a treat to the ears of Call of Duty fans.
“Thanks to new engine improvements, this opened new possibilities for better sound capture and new features including real-time mixing and natural limiting to help players focus on the task at hand, dive into the narrative and draw players throughout the missions.”
