If you’re a fan of Konami’s classic platforming caper, then you’ve probably heard of the Game Boy Advance Castlevania games. Yet, despite favourable reviews upon release, Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow have all been left behind on Nintendo’s classic handheld. However, thanks to a recent classification listing by the Australian Classification Board, we now know that the games could be included in a new Castlevania Advance Collection. Let’s hope the collection includes the DS games too!

According to the Australian Classification board’s website, the collection will be developed by M2, the team behind the 2019 Castlevania Anniversary Collection. The listing also states that the collection will be “multi-platform”, which is good news for console owners across the board. However, while the collection will apparently release this year, the listing doesn’t specify which games will be included.

If you picked up Konami’s last Castlevania Collection back in 2019, you’ll know what to expect from this new remastered bundle. As for what the Game Boy Castlevania games are actually about, each adventure features familiar characters from the Castlevania series. For example, if you’re familiar with the Castlevania Netflix series, you’ll recognise Circle of the Moon’s antagonist, Carmilla. Harmony of Dissonance also features Simon Belmont’s grandson, Juste, as a playable character.

Hopefully, Konami will unveil its Castlevania Advance Collection soon. While the game’s rating board listing cites a 2021 release date, we’ll have to wait for the collection’s official announcement to be certain.
