Annapurna Interactive has confirmed that cat adventure game Stray is still on track for its release in 2022. Purrfect!
Cat-loving gamers were hoping that Stray would be making an appearance at the recent State of Play event. Sadly, that was not to be. However, the publisher did confirm that we can still expect Stray to release this year.
Announced in 2020, Stray has suffered at least one delay so far. It was intended that Stray was to be released in 2021, however, it was pushed back into 2022. Ever since its most recent delay, we’ve not heard much else about Stray. In turn, this had some fans worried that the game might be pushed back even further.
Thankfully, that appears not to be the case. Stray still looks set to be dropping one on your back garden flowers this year. That being said, Stray was set to release “early 2022”, but we still do not have a confirmed release date at the time of writing.
Here puss puss puss!
Set to release for PS4 and PS5, Stray is a: “third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. See the world through the eyes of a stray and interact with the environment in playful ways.”
