It’s been announced that Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 will be getting a Season Pass, despite the game now being four years old.
Developer Firaxis Games recently confirmed the news via social media, announcing a whole year of new content for Civ fans.
“Welcome to the Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass, an exciting new series of new content coming to PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch that will allow you to continue your quest to become the greatest empire the world has ever seen,” explains the official website.
The new Pass will offer eight new civilizations to play with, along with nine new leaders and six new game modes. A new pack will be released every other month, from now until March 2021.

The packs will be as follows:
- Pack #1: Maya & Gran Colombia Pack. Adds two new civilizations and leaders, one new game mode*, new City-States, Resources, and Natural Wonders. Available May 2020.
- Pack #2: Ethiopia Pack. Adds one new civilization and leader, one new game mode**, one new District and two new Buildings. Available July 2020.
- Pack #3: Adds two new civilizations and leaders, one new game mode**, new World Wonders, and one new map. Available September 2020.
- Pack #4: Adds one new civilization and leader, one new game mode, new City-States, and numerous new Great People. Available November 2020.
- Pack #5: Adds one new civilization and two new leaders***, one new game mode, a new District, and two new Buildings. Available January 2021.
- Pack #6: Adds one new civilization and leader, one new game mode, new World Wonders, and one new map. Available March 2021.

Civ 6 recently debuted on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, after enjoying great sales figures on Nintendo Switch.
