Come See Our ‘Game Jam For Good’ Livestream Supporting British Red Cross

Later this afternoon, we here at GameByte will be supporting The British Red Cross through our ‘Game Jam For Good’ charity livestream. We ran the game jam event over Christmas, and now we’re judging your games to raise money towards the charity’s work supporting communities affected by climate change. Awesome prizes will be up for grabs for anyone who donates!

Since December we’ve been running Game Jam For Good with the aim of creating good games that raise awareness of the dangerous effects of climate change. Developers from all around the world have contributed with their amazing creations, and we’ll be livestreaming our favourite ones through our excellent panel of judges.

Here is the link to the livestream which is taking place on our Facebook page at 5PM GMT / 6PM CET / 12PM EST / 9AM PST. The stream will last for approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

PRIZES UP FOR GRABS

We’re fundraising for the British Red Cross’ efforts, and all donors who raise money during the livestream will be entered into a raffle containing over £1000 worth of prizes.

If you missed the stream, however, donations of over £20 will also allow you to grab an exclusive Game Jam For Good beanie. All the proceeds will go towards charity supporting communities affected by climate disasters. You can do that here.

But what about the games themselves? You can head over to the Game Jam For Good itch.io page and check them out for yourselves, some of which will be judged on the stream later today.

Climate change is one of the most important issues we face today. As more weather anomalies and climate extremities become increasingly common, the British Red Cross responds to disasters caused by these global changes to support those affected by it.
