The next adventure for everyone’s favourite marsupial might be going handheld, as a new report claims that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time could be coming to Nintendo Switch.
The rumour seems fairly legit, but as always with leaks like this, it’s best to take it with a pinch of salt until confirmed.
As spotted by Twitter user SunwerPrower [via WCCFTech] a Nintendo Switch version of Crash 4 has been spied within the source code for the game’s official website. Though there’s (of course) no release date mentioned in the data, it’s safe to assume that Crash’s next adventure is destined for the Nintendo console. Whether it’ll be from Day One seems unlikely, but hey, stranger things have happened.
Crash Bandicoot’s previous current-gen adventure, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, has been on Switch for a while now, and it seems the perfect home for the platformer. Here’s hoping Crash 4 will also be making a home on the Switch!
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is set to launch October 2, 2020.

The game’s official description reads as follows: “It’s About Time – for a brand-wumping new Crash Bandicoot™ game! Crash fourward into a time shattered adventure with your favorite marsupials. Neo Cortex and N. Tropy are back at it again and launching an all-out assault on not just this universe, but the entire multiverse! Crash and Coco are here to save the day by reuniting the four Quantum Masks and bending the rules of reality.

“New abilities? Check. More playable characters? Yep. Alternate dimensions? Obviously. Ridonkulous bosses? For sure. Same awesome sauce? You bet your sweet jorts. Wait, are they actually jorts? Not in this universe!”
Sporting a brand-new look, Crash definitely looks like he’s ready for some more action! Are you excited for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time? Let us know over on Twitter!
