Crusader Kings 3 Is Coming To Consoles In March

Grand strategy RPG Crusader Kings 3 is finally making its way to consoles in March, publisher Paradox Interactive has confirmed.

Crusader Kings 3 will finally be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S March 29, a year and a half after its PC release. The game will only be released on current gen consoles, which will give the game “super fast load times” according to developer Lab42.

In the announcement trailer for the console release, one of the developers referred to the release as an “adaptation” rather than a port. This is apparently because of how it has made the game work for a console release.

While the console release of Crusader Kings 3 is not until March, PC players will be getting some new content soon. On February 8, the game is getting a new update and the Royal Court DLC. The DLC will let players petition the king or queen for help, with things like settling a debt or dismantling a powerful faction. And also included in the free update is the ability to have a same-sex marriage, a much requested feature from fans.

It is important to note that a Paradox Interactive work survey last year alleged gender discrimination and mistreatment. The report alleged that many experienced bullying and gender discrimination. And 69% of women at the company claimed they had experienced abuse at the company. Paradox CEO Ebba Ljungerud stepped down shortly after the results were shared. But they denied their leaving the company was related to the survey.

Either way, let’s hope that these recurrent issues at the studio have been resolved now. Crusader Kings 3 comes to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on March 29th.
