Cyberpunk 2077 Can Be Completed Without Killing Anyone

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that a pacifist run of its upcoming RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, will be entirely possible – and it’s thanks to the fans’ feedback.

Speaking to PCGamer, lead quest designer Paweł Sasko said: “Right now, every weapon and every cyberware has a nonlethal option…

“I think I can say everything. There’s one thing: only weapons that are lethal by definition, so let’s say you shoot someone with a bazooka in his face. You shoot his head off. That’s typically lethal.”

The anti-kill decision is reportedly based on fan feedback, with survey cards handed out at E3 2018 supposedly the foundation for the non-lethal option to play.

Cyberpunk 2077 had a seriously awesome time at E3 this year, with the game getting a brand-new trailer and a release date.

Also revealed at E3 2019 was Keanu Reeves, who will be playing a character in Cyberpunk 2077 and who also birthed a meme right there on stage.

Reeves will play a character named Johnny Silverhand. In addition to his appearance and voice, Reeves is also providing full-body motion capture for the character.

The game’s description reads: “In the most dangerous megacity of the future, the real you is not enough. Become V, a cyber-enhanced mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant — the key to immortality. Customize your cyberware and skillset, and explore a vast city of the future obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. The choices you make will determine the story and shape the world around you.”

Along with the reveal of Reeves in the game, we also got a brand-new trailer and – finally – a 2020 release date for Cyberpunk 2077.
