CD Projekt Red has confirmed that DLC and expansions for its upcoming dystopian RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, will be revealed “fairly soon.”

We already know Cyberpunk 2077’s post-launch content will be similar to that of CDPR’s previous heavy-hitter, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. What we don’t know is what the expansions and DLC will cover, how big they are, or when they’re coming.
In a recent earnings talk and Q & A, CDPR president Adam Kicinski promised even more add-ons than The Witcher 3, including free DLC and expansions [via VG24/7].
Though details are fuzzy at the moment, it sounds like more news will be heading our way sooner rather than later, as Kicinski teased the DLC reveal is definitely happening “fairly soon.”

“As we are close to the release, expect the post-release plans to be revealed fairly soon; a series of free DLCs and expansions will be described – as I said, you can expect it fairly soon and then everything will be made clear,” said Kicinski.
Presumably that means we’ll be hearing more during one of Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City Wire events which have been taking place across the summer.

Kicinski also responded to a question regarding the use of in-game purchases, assuring players that they won’t be hounded when it comes to parting with their cash.
“We’re never aggressive towards our fans! We treat them fairly and we’re friendly. So of course not – we won’t be aggressive – but you can expect great things to be bought,” said Kicinski.

“I’m not trying to be cynical or hide something; it’s about creating a feeling of value. Same as with our single-player games: we want gamers to be happy while spending money on our products.”
Cyberpunk 2077 releases on November 19th, 2020 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It’s also coming to Xbox Series and PS5, with a next-gen update due at some point in the future.
