Another new episode of Cyberpunk 2077’s online event, Night City Wire, has given us more details on the game and what we can expect.
This time the show focused on the various life paths in the game, giving players an in-depth look at the different backstories we’ll be able to choose for our hero, V. According to the event, the path you pick can seriously change your playthrough, and with three different paths to take, you’re looking at a lot of replayability here. Street kid, Nomad or a corporate Corpo, the backstory for your V is yours.
Additional options and dialogue will be given depending on your life path decision, so hardcore fans are definitely going to want to play this more than once!
We also got to learn more about the game’s weapons, which are sounding seriously impressive. The game will feature three specific firearm classes: Power, Tech, and Smart. As you might expect, each has it owns pro and cons, so you’ll have to figure out what suits your playstyle best.
The event explains that Power weapons are your classic modern guns, albeit with a Cyberpunk twist. Instead of plain ol’ shooting, you’ll also be able to use Power weapons to do things like bounce bullets, which is pretty nifty.
Smart weapons take advantage of that 2077 tech, and can be programmed to do things like fire guided projectiles as you wish.
Tech weapons are incredibly powerful when compared to the other offerings, harnessing impressive technology to give you a hefty advantage against your foes.
Each weapon is fully customisable and also has a rarity type, and as mentioned above, they each have their own advantages and weaknesses.

Cyberpunk 2077 releases on November 19th, 2020 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It’s also coming to Xbox Series and PS5, with a free next-gen upgrade for those who buy a current-gen version of the game.
