Stream Xbox Games To Your Phone From Today With New Beta

If you’re ready to play some of your favourite Xbox titles on your phone then your time has come, as the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate early beta has arrived!

As of today (August 11), existing subscribers will be able to download the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate beta app to your Android device via the Google Play Store, allowing you to access more than one third of the games which will be available when the app fully launches next month.

Around 30 titles from the Game Pass library will be available today on your mobile device, with controller support for both the Xbox One game pad and your Bluetooth controllers.

A spokesperson for Microsoft told The Verge: “As we approach the launch of cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on September 15, we’re entering a limited beta period to ensure a smooth transition of the cloud gaming experience to the Xbox Game Pass app on Android,

“Existing Xbox Game Pass (Beta) app users will get the opportunity to test a subset of the available titles as we ready the experience for broader availability next month.”

The full launch is due on September 15, and will allow you to play over 100 games, including some of Xbox’s most elite titles such as Gears 5.

“We’re excited to share more about what you can expect. Beginning September 15, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play more than 100 games from the cloud on their Android phone or tablet,” writes Corporate Vice President of Project xCloud Kareem Choudhry on the official Xbox blog. “Cloud gaming will launch in beta for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in 22 markets to ensure stability as we scale the feature to millions of gamers.”

“We’ve committed to providing day-one access to new titles from Xbox Game Studios as part of Xbox Game Pass, it’s our intent to make those same games available in the cloud from the day they release,” says the blog. “We’ll have more to share about the full catalog of games as we approach launch.”
