CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is set to be one of the greatest games of the year (if not the decade), and the company has been doling out tidbits of info during the title’s long road to launch day.
One of the most exciting areas of the game is its huge, dynamic and expansive world. We’ve seen just how dense and busy CD Projekt Red can make a game world thanks to the likes of The Witcher 3, but Night City is promising to be ever greater.
Taking to Twitter, the official account for Cyberpunk 2077 explained a little of the backstory for one of the gangs in the game, called The Mox.
The page explained that The Mox are a gang formed to protect sex workers in Night City, including both working men and women.
“Formed in 2076 after the death of Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Borden, a strip club owner & ex-prostitute who treated her workers fairly and defended them from violent clients,” tweeted Cyberpunk.
“The Mox refer to themselves as ‘those who protect working girls and guys’ from violence and abuse.”
People are praising the inclusion of such a gang, with many people already showing their support for The Moxes and the work they do.
The company also teased that this is just the first look at many of the gangs in the game. When asked by a user if similar gang bios will be shared, the company responded: “Maaaaaaaybe ;)”
Despite the many impending game delays that are expected to be hitting this year due to the coronavirus outbreak, CD Projekt Red is confident that Cyberpunk 2077 will be complete in time for its September release date.
Cyberpunk 2077 is due to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, September 17.
