Cyberpunk 2077 Release date Accidentally Leaked on Twitter

Cyberpunk 2077 is on the minds of pretty much every gamer out there after the 48 minute gameplay footage we were treated to over the summer.

The upcoming title has a lot of people drooling, and it pretty much broke the internet when that utterly gorgeous gameplay was revealed.

When does Cyberpunk2077 release?

Although there’s been no official word on a release date for the title, people are speculating it might be out as soon as 2019, and it’s come from a pretty reliable source…

Bilkom, who worked with CD Projekt RED on the publication of The Witcher in Turkey, tweeted stating Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting a 2019 release date.

The since-deleted tweet might be unavailable now, but the folks at VG247 managed to nab a screenshot of the tweet before it left the internet for good.

The tweet, which you can see above, reportedly translates to: “The makers of the Witcher series, CD Projekt’s new game [is] Cyberpunk 2077. With assurance [/guarantee] in Turkey in the year 2019.”

Cyberpunk 2077 release date could be coming sooner than people thought

A 2019 release would be pretty surprising considering the game was only officially revealed back at E3 2018, with some games taking years to get from their first reveal to their final release.

However, we wouldn’t put it past CD Projekt RED to throw us a curve-ball like a sudden launch…

Naturally, Twitter is pretty excited about the potential leak.

If this really is true, 2019 could be one of the best years for gaming we’ve seen in a while. Titles like Resident Evil 2, Kingdom Hearts 3, Devil May Cry 5, Metro Exodus, Doom Eternal and Shenmue 3 will be flying the nostalgia flag high next year, but we definitely need some brand-new franchises to get stuck into…

Will Cyberpunk 2077 be joining these titles, or are we hoping for too much here?
