During the WSE Innovation Day event, CDPR CEO Adam KiciƄski highlighted the studio’s efforts to improve Cyberpunk’s experience while stating that the game’s stability is currently “satisfactory“:

“We have already achieved a satisfactory level in this regard [of stability]. We have also been working on the overall efficiency, which we are also quite happy about. Of course, we also removed bugs and glitches, and we will continue to do that.”

Of course, progress has been made since Cyberpunk 2077’s disastrous launch last year. However, the RPG has a long road to redemption ahead of it. Despite the game’s recent return to the PlayStation Store, CDPR has advised fans to avoid playing the game on the original PS4. While this limits PlayStation fans to either the PlayStation 4 Pro or PlayStation 5, an additional update will be apparently available later this year.

Is Cyberpunk’s stability now “satisfactory”?

It’s worth mentioning that while the Cyberpunk experience as a whole still has flaws, the game is a lot more stable than it was previously. Therefore, CDPR’s claims of stability are accurate for the most part. While many fans still gaming on last-gen hardware will likely feel a little disgruntled, CDPR’s roadmap also includes improvements to the base PS4 version.

Hopefully, CDPR’s confidence in Cyberpunk’s stability will translate through to the end user experience. Again, Cyberpunk has a long road ahead of it. However, its return to PlayStation storefronts and continuous updates will hopefully give the game a second wind in the future.
