The Dead Space remake will be a one-shot game just like God of War (2018) as well as the forthcoming, God of War Ragnarok.
Other than being a great game, one of the special features of God of War (2018) is that once the game had loaded, there were no more loading times. The same will be said about Ragnarok which releases on November 9 2022.
Dead Space is a one-shot deal unless you die
Once Dead Space boots up and you venture into the USG Ishimura, there’ll be no more loading times. That is of course unless you die. Let’s face it though, you will probably die… a lot.

While on the discussion of the one-shot loading time, Senior producer, Phillippe Ducharme said:
“From the moment you start the game to the moment you end the game, there are no camera cuts or load screens—unless you die.
“The Ishimura is now fully interconnected, so you can walk from Point A to Point Z, visit the entire ship, and revisit locations you’ve already completed to pick up things you might have missed—that’s all new. It’s now a completely unbroken experience.”
In the developer blog, the team at EA Motive also spoke about the importance of making sure the remake stays true to the original game which was released in 2008.
Furthermore, the developers want to ensure that the remake is a memorable experience, regardless of whether you’re a returning fan or brand new to the series.
Dead Space looks incredible!
Following the developer blog post from EA Motive, three new screenshots appeared on the Microsoft Store, and they look incredible.
As you would expect, the difference in visual quality over the original game is very clear to see.

The first screenshot features a gruesome Necromorph, hopefully, about to be torn apart by Isaac Clarke’s Plasma Cutter.

The second screenshot shows some Zero-Gravity action while the third screenshot (if memory serves me correct), appears to be an engineering room quite early on in the campaign.
There’s plenty of sci-fi horror on the way
In related sci-fi horror goodness, before the arrival of the Dead Space remake, we’ll be treated to The Callisto Protocol on December 2 2022.
Developed by Striking Distance Studios, The Callisto Protocol is from the minds behind the original two Dead Space games.

When is the Dead Space remake release date?
The Dead Space remake releases on January 27 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
