Dying Light Getting A Free Shiny PS5/XSX Upgrade

Techland has announced that the original Dying Light game is getting a new next-gen update. Rejoice, fellow zombie nerds!

Replying to its own Dying Light: Hellraid post on Twitter, Techland responded to fans calling for a next-gen 60FPS update. It remains to be seen if the Xbox Series X would feature further enhancements, as it already benefited from a 60FPS Boost

At the very least, the Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5 might benefit from the upcoming update. As of right now, both the Xbox Series S and PS5 have been left out in the cold. Thankfully, that might be changing very soon.

We’re currently working on a next-gen patch for Dying Light 1 – more details coming in the future,” tweeted Techland.

Perhaps it might be wishful thinking for the game to receive improved textures and full HDR support. That being said, Techland is a studio that has supported the original Dying Light tremendously over the years, so it would not be surprising if they work some more magic. At the very least, 60FPS across all next-gen platforms would be a welcomed update.

In related news, the Dying Light ESRB page was updated recently, with PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch as the current platforms. So hopefully this next-gen update might be just around the corner.
