Elden Ring dominated YouTube during its launch period becoming one of the most successful launches on the platform of all time.
YouTube Gaming tweeted an infographic revealing that Elden Ring was viewed a mind-blowing 3.4 billion times within its first 60 days of its February launch. Yes, that’s right, 3.4 billion. Yikes!
FromSoftware beats its competitors
The closest competitor to Elden Ring is Rockstar Games’ GTA 5 followed by its compatriot, Red Dead Redemption 2. Despite being immensely popular in their own right, GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 weren’t even close with 1.9 billion and 1.4 billion views, respectively.
Skyrim and GTA 5 are going strong
That being said, the fact that Skyrim is 11 years old and is on this list, is an impressive feat in its own right. Furthermore, GTA 5 is almost equally impressive with it being 9 years old at the time of writing.
Elden Ring is the boss of you
The infographic also revealed the most uploaded Elden Ring bosses as well as the game’s character classes.
The most popular Elden Ring boss was Margit the Fell Omen, followed by Malenia Blade of Miquella, Godrick the Grafted, Starscourge Radahn, as well as the Draconic Tree Sentinel.
FromSoftware is a class act
In terms of Elden Ring’s most popular character classes on YouTube, at the top of the class was the Samurai, followed by Hero, Wretch, Astrologer and finally, Warrior.
In related news, it seems that Elden Ring DLC could be on the way. That’s at least according to a recent Bandai Namco data breach.
