At the time of writing, Elden Ring developers FromSoftware haven’t acknowledged any downtime or have any planned maintenance. It looks like rather than being a malicious attempt at breaking game servers, such as DDoS attacks which overload servers with requests, it’s simply an issue on their end with servers.

If there are any security threats or leaked information as a direct result of a server security breach, FromSoftware will let players know either directly or via their social media channels.
