Elden Ring Streamer Didn’t Realise Hardest Boss Has A Second Phase

There are a number of bosses in Elden Ring that have two phases, but unfortunately one streamer didn’t know that was the case for the hardest boss in the game.

Elden Ring FAQ: Every Guide You’ll Need

Quick word of warning: some spoilers for a late game boss in Elden Ring ahead.

Ah, Elden Ring. It’s a tough game! We all know it, some of us love it. It’s also a game that is constantly surprising. Whether it’s enemies that jump out at you, locations that are so beautiful you can’t close your mouth, or just a really tough boss, you’re always kept on your toes.

Except for one boss in particular, you can’t even get on your toes because she’s probably killed you so fast. That would, of course, be Malenia, Blade of Miquella. Anyone who’s fought Malenia could tell you that she is a damn tough boss fight. She’s fast, she regenerates health every time she hits you, and has a big attack will probably kill you in a couple of hits. And that’s just phase one.

Problem is, Elden Ring doesn’t tell you that until you beat her first phase, and for one streamer, that came as a bit of a shock (thanks, GAMINGbible). Streamer Lacari spent around eight hours trying to beat Malenia’s first phase. And his reaction to finding out there’s a second phase is priceless.

In a clip of the moment, you can see that he’s slightly puzzled, if not outright stunned at the start. But soon enough, he just breaks into fits of laughter, not even bothering to try and fight the second phase. And we can’t really blame him either. Lacari hasn’t managed to beat the second phase at the time of writing, but all we can say is: good luck.
