Bethesda has once again reminded the world that news of the Elder Scrolls 6 is probably still a long, long way away. The news comes direct from Bethesda’s Pete Hines, who tweeted about the game in relation to other Bethesda IPs in the works,
He said [via VGC]: “[TES 6 is] after Starfield, which you pretty much know nothing about. So if you’re coming at me for details now and not years from now, I’m failing to properly manage your expectations.”
In case you’ve forgotten about Starfield, it’s the upcoming brand-new title from the beloved company, and it was revealed alongside TES 6 back at E3 2018. The game takes place in space, and is the first entirely-new Bethesda Game Studios title in over 20 years. We don’t know too much about Starfield, but if it’s coming before TES 6, we might be waiting a pretty long time to hear more about what’s rumoured to be TES 6: Redfall.
Earlier this year, a rumour claimed that TES 6 won’t be revealed until at least 2025.
The alleged leak surfaced via Reddit, where a user claiming to be intimate with the project said TES 6 won’t be dropping until the year 2025. This would make the game a next-gen title, though considering the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are due to drop this year, that’s not really too surprising.

What is interesting is that the leak is claiming to give us a first look at what the game will actually involve – and it’s apparently set in High Rock and Hammerfall. The leak is jam-packed with other details too, such as the idea that you’ll only be able to play as a human, and that it won’t be a procedurally-generated game as previous rumours have claimed.
