Elon Musk can now add “rapper” to his resume after releasing his debut song “RIP Harambe” on Soundcloud on Saturday (30th March).
The track was posted by the handle “Emo G Records” and is a two-minute tribute to the Cincinnati Zoo gorilla who was killed in 2016 after a 3-year-old climbed into it’s living area.
“RIP Harambe/Sipping on some Bombay/We on our way to heaven/Amen, Amen,” an auto-tuned Elon sings. “RIP Harambe/Smoking on some strong/In the gorilla zoo/And we thinking about you.”
The track has had more than 1 million plays as of Monday (1st April). Listen to the track below and let us know what you think.
This might be my finest work

What do you think of the track? Is Elon Musk the next big rapper to come from Soundcloud, or should he stay in his own lane and avoid rapping?
Either way I think he may be a few years too late to be rapping about a meme that is now infamously known as a ‘dead meme’.
Also RIP Harambe.
