Over the last few weeks, Sony had teased us that “The Future is Coming” at this week’s CES event, which of course had many of us hoping that we might just get a glimpse at the PlayStation 5. However, even though such a reveal would have been unlikely, given that it might be saved for Sony’s PlayStation Experience or State of Play, we at least hoped for something and it was something that we got, in the form of a logo.

Yep that’s right; Sony revealed the PS5 logo and it looks pretty much exactly how you’d expect it to look. PlayStation fans took to Twitter to all say the same thing – it’s exactly what we expected.

However, Sony did reveal some impressive sale milestone numbers for the current console, the PS4. Sony announced that the PS4 has sold over 106 million units, has over 100 million monthly users with just under 40 million of those being PS+ subscribers, and even the PSVR has shifted over 5 million units.

So while we never got the PS5 news that we had hoped for, Sony did promise more information on the console and its games line-up in the coming months. Are you excited for the PS5? Let us know across our social media channels.
