Evil Dead The Game Will Feature More Actors From Original Film

Evil Dead: The Game will see the return of various actors from across the franchise’s history.

Since the game’s announcement, we’ve known that Bruce Campbell, who plays protagonist Ash Williams, would be reprising his role. But now it’s been confirmed that more actors from the franchise’s past will be returning.

Campbell is no stranger to voice acting for video games. He voiced Ash in all three games based on Evil Dead. And he also features in all three Spider-Man games based on the Sam Raimi trilogy. Now he’ll be joined by Ellen Sandweiss, who played Ash’s sister Cheryl, and Richard DeManincor, who played Scotty in the original.

Campbell seemingly confirmed the news in an interview with Geoff Keighley. Actors from Ash vs Evil Dead, the TV show sequel series, have been confirmed to be reprising their roles too. Ray Santiago is returning as Pablo Bolivar, and Dana DeLorenzo is returning as Kelly Maxwell.

Evil Dead: The Game was meant to launch this year to mark the 40th anniversary of the series. Saber, developer of the game, pushed it to February 2022 to add single player to the game. This will allow players to play the game with bots, as previously you had to go through the game online. There are also meant to be a couple of side missions that will be single player focused. But primarily the game is meant to be played in four player co-op in the vein of something like Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood.
