Fan-Created Pokemon Trailer Is Putting Official Nintendo Remakes To Shame

A fan-made recreation of the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl announcement trailer is putting the official Nintendo trailer to shame.

The fan-made trailer was put together by talented 3D artist and game designer Millenniumloops and was shared via their Twitter account.

So here it is, after watching the Official remakes of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl I spent the week doing this and reimagine the trailer to how I would have wanted them to be,” said Millenniumloops in a tweet.

They followed up by the added confirmation that “this is not an actual game.” Check it out in all its glory below!

As a reference, below is the official trailer from Nintendo which was revealed as part of the Pokemon Direct at the end of February this year. While fans were pleased to see the Nintendo remakes of their dreams, not everyone was impressed with the graphics and visuals revealed in the video.

Lots of gamers criticised the remakes, complaining that they’re not quite what we wanted to see from the returning classics.

The chibi-style design is perhaps too cutesy for some gamers, who were maybe hoping for something a little closer to the original games. As you can see in the fan-made trailer above, Milleniumloops’ vision is a lot more anime-like.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are full remakes of 2007 classic for the Nintendo DS and will release for the Nintendo Switch later this year. While they might not be everyone’s cup of tea, we certainly are excited!

The remakes were also announced alongside a brand new, open-world prequel set in the Sinnoh region with Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and is set to release early 2022.
