The upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake from Square Enix has been expected to be a PlayStation exclusive for a while now, but it seems that might not be the case.
Since it was announced, Final Fantasy 7 Remake has only ever been advertised as coming to the PS4, but evidence has arisen to suggest otherwise.

Xbox Germany recently took to Twitter to share a video of the upcoming title, with the announcement that it’ll be releasing for Xbox One on March 3, 2020 – the same date as the PS4 release.
Noticing the pretty big oopsie, the tweet was quickly removed. Xbox Germany’s communications and social lead, Maxi Graff, then apologised for the confusion.
“We did an internal mistake in the Social Team. We took the video off immediately. Sorry, no announcement on our side,” she explained.
It’s not clear how such a mistake could come about, unless a reveal that the game truly is coming to Xbox One is on the cards.

Square Enix has yet to comment on the supposed blunder.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake will cover only the Midgar portion of the original FF7, which is around a fifth of the original game’s content.
Producer Yoshinori Kitase said of the move: “Remaking Final Fantasy VII has allowed us to dive much deeper into the world and its characters than ever before,
“The game design was optimized for this title as well, and we anticipate two blu-rays’ worth of gameplay content.”
The game’s description reads as follows: “The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy.
“In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him. A spectacular reimagining of one of the most visionary games ever, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE rebuilds and expands the legendary RPG for today.”
Final Fantasy 7 Remake will release on PlayStation 4, March 3 2020.
