First CoD 2020 Weapon Reportedly Revealed – And It Explains A Lot

Yesterday (June 4) saw alleged leaked gameplay from Call of Duty 2020 hit the internet, and now it looks like even more details have emerged. Known CoD leaker The Gaming Revolution has dropped some (supposed) knowledge bombs on one of the game’s weapons – and it says a lot about the story of CoD 2020.

As always with unverified leaks and rumours, take the following with a pinch of salt.

In a new video, which you can watch below, The Gaming Revolution talks about the leaked footage, claiming that it’s real and offering up some more details. According to the leaker, the footage shows off the Daewoo K2 assault rifle, which is particularly noteworthy because it’s a weapon that wasn’t in use until 1984.

This seems to clash with previous reports that the unannounced CoD game will take place during the Vietnam War – but The Gaming Muso has an explanation.

According to the leaker, the next CoD game will jump around in time, offering a look at different parts of the Cold War, not only the Vietnam War. The Cold War, of course, ended officially in 1991.

If this is true, it’s the first time we’re starting to get a bit of a picture painted in terms of how the next Call of Duty game might play out. Again, it’s unverified, but it sounds pretty plausible.

The next Call of Duty is reportedly going to be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and an official reveal is expected in the coming weeks. If the rumours from The Gaming Revolution are correct, then the title makes more sense than ever. If the game were to focus purely on the Vietnam war, wouldn’t it be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Vietnam…?
