If leaks are anything to go by, then it seems the ever-loved Flipnote Studio will soon be making its way to Nintendo Switch.
Now I’d just like to state to you all that at this time, it is still very much a rumour and not gospel, but alas – a series of screenshots were ‘leaked’ online which appear to show the game’s interface, and according to Source Gaming, the screenshots are from a development build and were accidentally shared online by someone within Nintendo in Japan. Oops.
Source Gaming seems to think that the shots check out, but until we have any official confirmation from Nintendo themselves, it’s safe to say that we’ll have to stick to playing the game on our DSi and 3DS.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see the game get a Switch upgrade, however, judging by the success that Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training and Animal Crossing have seen since they made their onto the Nintendo Switch Store.
So it seems like FlipNote Studio might be live dropping tomorrow on the e-shop

A leaker also had 6 images they drew on there implying that maybe 2020’s lineup is
• Animal Crossing
• SkyWard Sword HD
• 2D or Paper Mario?
• Arms 2?
• Odyssey 2
• Pikmin (Dunno if it’s 3 or 4) pic.twitter.com/BP2I5MbAW6
Other leaks have suggested that Flipnote might even be released on the Nintendo Store in the next coming days, which would be pretty good timing considering the boredom that is setting in during the COVID-19 isolation.
Rumour: 'discovered that on a discord server, apparently, Flipnote Studio is coming soon to Nintendo Switch, those pics have been found in Nintendo's servers. I dunno what to say, if it's true or fake… pic.twitter.com/PoLaUSaO7j

Are you excited for the potential release of Flipnote for the Nintendo Switch? It’ll be interesting to see how they can transfer it over, especially considering not everyone has a stylus that would have usually came with the previous consoles. However, if you did get Brain Training on its release, you could always use that stylus instead.
