Square Enix has announced Forever Entertainment will be developing various remakes from the publisher’s back catalogue.

Forever Entertainment is the studio behind the recent Panzer Dragoon: Remake, which released in 2019. Now the team is set to make multiple remakes for Square Enix, all of which belong to one classic IP.
The announcement states that the name of IP will be announced once the global marketing campaign begins but fails to mention when that will be [via Gematsu]. The remakes will also apparently feature new visuals but will retain old mechanics and gameplay, unlike Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
The Polish studio is also making more SEGA remakes, including Panzer Dragoon II: Zwei Remake and The House of the Dead 1 & 2. The company has gained a reputation for remaking old classics, so we’re likely to see many more remakes from the team in the future.

All of Forever Entertainment’s projects appear to be related to the same time period, as both Panzer Dragoon and The House of the Dead are from the mid-1990s.
Square Enix has various IPs lost to this time period, with the SaGa series standing out as an IP with numerous entries. A remake of SaGa Frontier was previously announced last year for consoles and mobile devices, which just so happens to match the description of Forever Entertainment’s upcoming project.
While all available information online suggests that Square Enix is developing the SaGa Frontier Remake, perhaps the rest of the series is getting brought back.
The SaGa series began in 1992 with Romancing SaGa, so it would make sense for Square Enix to revive the series from the beginning. Just like with Final Fantasy, each game has a story of its own, so releasing SaGa Frontier first won’t create a Tarantino effect for players.
Perhaps Square Enix was gauging interest for the series by announcing SaGa Frontier first before outsourcing the IP for further remakes.
SaGa Frontier Remake is coming on 15th April 2021, so perhaps we’ll know more about Square Enix’s remake plans once it’s released.
