Gamers Programmed Rocket League VR And It Looks Almost Impossible

Rocket League is one of the best competitive games you can play, because who doesn’t want to hit a ball with a car? The immensely popular title has been making waves for years now, and a group of players have taken the game to the next level – by turning it into a VR experience.

Posting on Reddit, a user named TFBradley writes: “My friend and I wanted to try Rocket League in VR, so we programmed our own version!”

The user then shared the following video, which shows off just how damn impressive – and difficult! – the VR game really looks. Check it out in all its glory below.

“We made Rocket League in virtual reality, and our first game to 5 (win by two) turned out to be the game of the century,” reads the video’s description.

Unfortunately, it looks like there’s no plans to bring Rocket League VR to general market, which is definitely disappointing.

TFBradley responded to a question on Reddit saying: “Currently the plan is to keep it as this fun little prototype. Rocket League has an incredible amount of polish, it would take quite a long time to make something that came anywhere close to it – not to mention the legal complications of making a game so obviously influenced by an already existing title.

“With that being said, this prototype was a blast to play, so Psyonix, if you’re listening, you should consider a VR port! We could even help you make it if you’d like :)”

Hopefully Psyonix will take the team up on that offer, because this is definitely something the world needs to see in more detail.

Have you got what it takes to play Rocket League VR?
