It’s being reported that some players are losing their save data for two Ubisoft titles: Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion.

It’s not known at this time as to why some players are losing their save data, but with two games as hugely dense as Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion, it’s a massive blow for players that have invested many hours into either game.

Reports have been made on both the Ubisoft and Reddit forums, where players haven’t been able to access their saved data with some being told that the data is “corrupt”.

What’s even more concerning is that the corrupt save data issues are not specific to a single platform as reports have come in for PC, PlayStation and Xbox players.

While we have no confirmation at the time of writing as to what might be causing this issue, some have speculated on the GameSpot forums that the issue could be down to Ubisoft cloud saves.

Hopefully this is an isolated problem at this time and not widespread. I have put several hours into both games so far, but I’ve thankfully had no corrupt save data issues.

With a bit of luck Ubisoft will already be looking into a fix for this problem and the issue can be fixed with a patch very soon.
