Ghost Of Tsushima: Director’s Cut Save Transfer Is Super Easy. Here’s How!

The Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut save transfer from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 is super easy, and we will show you how.

Last week saw the launch of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut for PS4 and PS5. The Director’s Cut comes with the new Iki Island expansion, as well as improved visuals and performance. Not to mention improved controller options, an improved Japanese dub and so much more.

If you are totally new to Ghost of Tsushima and you’ve picked up the Director’s Cut, you’ll be good to go. Just fire up the game on your console and away you go. However, if you have played the original 2020 release, the chances are that you will want to transfer your save data from PS4 to PS5.

In other cross-gen games, transferring save data isn’t perhaps as simple as it should be. Take for example Final Fantasy 7: Remake. To carry over your save data from PS4 to PS5, you must first have the PS4 version installed, then upload it to the cloud, then download it to the PS5 game.

However, the process from PS4 to PS5 with Ghost of Tsushima: Directors Cut is super easy. Firstly, unlike Final Fantasy 7: Remake, you won’t need the PS4 version installed to upload your save to the cloud.

So, here’s the simple process of transferring your Ghost of Tsushima save data from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5.

Step 1: From the main menu, select “Transfer PS4 Console Save”.

Step 2: Choose whether to save your current progress before transferring data. In which case, I would recommend saving just to be safe.

Step 3: Choose a PS4 console save to transfer.

Step 4: Select the save data of your choice and download it to your PS5 console. It is as simple as that.

If you have been playing the PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima on your PS5, the save data will automatically be detected on your hard drive.

However, if you are jumping from a PS4 console to a PS5 console, you can upload your data to the PS+ cloud and then download it to your PS5. You can also copy the save data on a memory stick. Plonk it into your PS5 and using the same steps as above, you can transfer your data easily.
