God Of War Director Would Love To See The Game On PC

The director of 2018’s smash-hit, God of War, has spoken out and said he’d love to see the game make its way to PC.

Director Cory Barlog recently responded to a fan asking about whether or not it would ever happen, writing: “You know, I would love that. It is, sadly, a decision far above my paygrade. As is proven on a daily basis, I am no Kojima.”

The comment comes following some backlash over the news that Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding isn’t actually a PlayStation 4 exclusive, and is in fact set to release on PC in 2020.

The official confirmation left a bitter taste in the mouths of players, with lots of people actually cancelling their pre-orders of the game following the news.

(Personally, I’m part of the camp that doesn’t really mind if a game goes multi-platform, especially if it’s a game that literally has the premise of connecting players. Surely the more people getting to play a game, the better?)

However, it seems a lot of people disagree with this line of thinking, with literally hundreds of angry gamers taking to social media to vent their frustration. The most popular argument is seemingly that players feel “cheated” out of money when what they thought they were paying for was a PlayStation exclusive.

Death Stranding launched on PlayStation 4, November 8 2019. It’ll be migrating on over to PC in “early summer 2020.”

While it seems unlikely that God of War would ever get a PC port, it is still playable on PC thanks to PlayStation Now.

Last month, PlayStation Now announced a slew of new games coming to the streaming service – along with a pretty nice drop in price that’s making it more accessible than ever.

What that translates to is that you can now stream the likes of God of War, Infamous Second Son and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End to your PC. Hooray!

Of course, PlayStation Now is a streaming service, which means you do have to pay if you want to take advantage of it. Fortunately, it’s now cheaper than ever before having dropped by half the price in most regions.

Thanks, Sony!
