God Of War Is Getting A New Mode And It’s Coming This Month

God of War is hands-down one of the biggest and best games of the year, getting nearly perfect scores across the board from critics and introducing millions of new players to one of PlayStation’s most beloved franchises.

The game smashed records and has become the top-selling PS4 exclusive of all time, so it’s really not any surprise to learn that the game is getting a brand-new mode to entice gamers to revisit the world of Kratos and co.

Santa Monica Studio has just announced that the game will be getting a new Game Plus mode, allowing you to start the adventure again – this time with all of your previous abilities, resources and talismans (providing that you’ve already completed the game at least once before, of course.)

You’ll also be able to skip through the cutscenes for both the regular and the new Plus mode when the add-on goes live later this month, and you’ll be able to set the same or choose a different difficulty level too.

Nice!

Adding Plus mode will also expand the world a little bit more, offering new challenges and a few new features as well. Once live, you’ll be able to take advantage of new customisation choices to help amp-up your goods and gear for a play experience more tailored to your skills.

There’s also reportedly going to be a brand-new rarity level and a new resource known as Skap Slag, which will help to upgrade your armour.

The best news of all is that the update will be live on 20th August 2018 – just a few weeks away – and it’s of course, free.

Are you ready to jump back into God of War with all-new Plus mode? What upcoming features would you like to see added to Sony’s smash-hit?
