God of War Ragnarok finally gets its highly awaited Photo Mode in the latest patch issued for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
God of War Ragnarok was released on November 9th, 2022. However, the Photo Mode arrival a month after the game was released is likely a deliberate act by Santa Monica Studios. Likely to reduce the risk of social media spoilers at launch.
What’s in the God of War Ragnarok Photo Mode?
At this time, the Photo Mode is quite basic. It’s what you would probably expect to see in terms of features. You can alter the field of view, film grain, select borders as well as choose a variety of silly faces.
I’m hoping in a future patch that we might be able to choose from a variety of funny poses, as we can in Horizon Forbidden West. We at GameByte can’t wait to see what fantastic photos the God of War Ragnarok community comes up with following this latest patch.

What else comes with the update?
As detailed in the Patch Notes v.03, alongside the Photo Mode is a variety of fixes from reported bugs and glitches. Fixes have been made to story bugs, and quest progression, as well as item upgrades, user interface adjustments and more.
God of War Ragnarok on PS4 has also had a few specific fixes too. You can check out the full patch notes here, but please be aware of some spoilers.
We reviewed God of War Ragnarok!

In our review of God of War Ragnarok, we said: “Ragnarok is everything you loved about the previous title, but amplified. The longer story and expanded worlds give way for characters to develop in meaningful ways, making the whole game feel very much like a sequel worthy of its predecessor.”
