Grand Theft Auto 6 hasn’t been confirmed to even exist yet, but a new clue has gamers wondering if an imminent reveal is on the cards. Developer Rockstar Games has been pretty quiet on its next ventures, leaving fans to drool over the dreams of Bully 2, L.A Noire 2 and, yes, GTA 6.
As spotted by Reddit user, bozidarilic, the GTA 6 website previously redirected visitors to the standard Rockstar Games website – though that not longer appears to be the case.
gtavi.com does not redirect to Rockstar Games site anymore. Site updated today… from r/GTA6
Sharing their findings to the r/GTA6 sub, a screen grab does indeed seem to show the website received an update on March 23, 2020.
In the comments, one user wrote: “it’s an auto updated database field, it might be someone double checking in preparation for a launch or an automated script for whatever the f*ck. We will know soon enough.”
Another noted: “This is good news. gtav.com , gtavii.com AND gtaviii.com take you to GTA 5’s promotional website.
“Strange that gtavi.com doesn’t…”
What this means in terms of a potential game reveal remains to be seen, but keep your eyes peeled because something is almost definitely brewing over at R*!
With the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X due to land on store shelves at the end of the year, it’s about time we got some info on the next addition to the incredibly lucrative GTA franchise.
According to one developer, Rockstar is actually working on multiple unannounced projects, or at least, it was as of 2018 [via ComicBook].
Angith Jayarajan, an employee at Rockstar India from June 2017 to March 2018, referenced “a couple of games” that he was working on at the time that can’t yet be named. Sounds very interesting…what are. you hoping these could be?
