Halo: Reach Will Be Playable on PC and Xbox This Month

343 Industries has confirmed that testing for Halo: Reach, which is going to be added to the Master Chief Collection, will begin this month (if all goes to plan).

Sharing the news on Twitter Brian Jarrard, community director at 343 Industries, wrote: “this is the month we start the first Reach/MCC flights.”

Flights reference the Master Chief Collection tests which have been taking place.

It’s good news for Halo fans, as the testing phase means we’re getting closer and closer to the actual expansion launch. Hooray!

The Master Chief Collection originally launched for Xbox One, and included Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4. These new flights are to test the first expansion of the collection to include Halo: Reach.

As of yet, 343 Industries has not confirmed whether Xbox or PC players will get the Halo: Reach expansion first, or whether they’ll launch alongside each other.

Although Jarrard tweeted the news on the notorious April 1 a.k.a April Fool’s day, this doesn’t appear to be a joke. He followed up the tweet by responding to a fan to say “it’s no joke.”

There’s no release date in place for the updates as of yet, but fingers crossed these test flights will be seamless so we can get to playing Halo: Reach!
