The world is pretty darn happy about the recent reveal of Halo: The Master Chief Collection finally making its way to PC. The former Xbox exclusive had been expected to come to PC for a while, with the news being officially confirmed earlier this month.
Over on Reddit, one ex-Halo player is using the launch of the PC version to reunite with their buddies of old – and calling for all other Halo players to get involved.
Redditor and Halo fan Mukagas wrote a post entitled: “When Halo comes to PC, let’s all use our old Xbox live’s Gamertag so we can find each other again!”
The wholesome post is currently sitting at nearly 10k upvotes, with Halo fans seriously eager to reunite with their long-lost pals.
Unfortunately, any usernames from more a few years old are almost guaranteed to be embarrassing as all hell. We all either knew – or were – an XxxSniperDeath69, a YouRMom or angleXofXCOD.
Still, if you can suck up the embarrassment of your old Xbox Live gamertag, you might just be in with a chance of finding your online pals from days long gone.
When it comes to nostalgia, you won’t be able to top this one.
Unfortunately, there’s not a set date for the PC launch of Halo, but we do know it’s coming “sometime this year.”

Hopefully it’ll be coming sooner rather than later, but we don’t mind waiting as long as it’s done properly!
