Here Are March’s Free Games With PlayStation Plus

It’s the end of the month which only means one thing – the new PlayStation Plus free games have been announced. Hooray! 2019 has gotten off to a strong start for Sony, with a glorified treasure trove of triple-A games being gifted left, right and centre.

So, how will March compare?

First up we have the one, the only, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. One of the most iconic games of its era gets the full HD treatment and it’ll cost you nothing to download, play and keep (as long as you’re a PS Plus subscriber anyway). The 2007 classic can now be played in dynamic 4K on PS4 Pro too, which is always a plus.

Your second offering for March is The Witness, which comes from the developer behind 2008’s puzzle-platformer, Braid. The PlayStation blog says: “[The Witness is] an enigmatic first-person puzzler set on a seemingly-deserted tropical island, dotted from one end to the other with a vast network of interconnected puzzles.

“Boasting spellbinding narrative twists and an unbeatable sense of satisfaction in conquering each puzzle, The Witness is a benchmark in design and environmental storytelling. Download The Witness on PS Plus this month for a slow-burning test of the old grey matter.”

These titles will be available to download from March 5, and you’ll have until April 1 to pick them up.

March is a sad month for veteran Sony fans as we say goodbye to the usual free Vita and PS3 downloads. We’ve gotten Vita and PS3 freebies each month for years now, but it’s time we say officially say goodbye to last-gen console goodies.

If you haven’t got February’s free games for the Vita and PS3, there’s still some time to download them. They’ll be available for download until March 8, 2019:
