Here Are The Games You Can Play For Free With Nintendo Online Subscription

The Nintendo Switch Online services are officially a day away from launch and the Nintendo website has unveiled a complete list of the games you’ll have access to from 19th September 2018 (UK).

The site confirms: “If you join the Nintendo Switch Online paid membership service, you’ll get access to a growing library of easy to pick-up-and-play Nintendo Entertainment System titles. Pass a Joy-Con to a friend for multiplayer fun, or even play online!

“As long as you remain a member, you’ll have access to the full line-up of games at any given time.

“Periodic online check-in required.”

But what NES games will you be able to play?

According to Nintendo the launch line-up for the Online services is as follows:

  • Balloon Fight
  • Baseball
  • Donkey Kong
  • Double Dragon
  • Dr. Mario
  • Excitebike
  • Ghosts’n Goblins
  • Gradius
  • Ice Climber
  • Ice Hockey
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Mario Bros.
  • Pro Wrestling
  • River City Ransom
  • Soccer
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Tecmo Bowl
  • Tennis
  • Yoshi.

It’s being reported that additional games will be available to play each month, so we’re excited to see where the service can take us…

Right now it looks like October will give us Solomon’s Key, NES Open Tournament Golf and Super Dodgeball.

November will be a popular month thanks to Metroid, Mighty Bomb Jack and Twinbee.

December will give us Wario Woods, Ninja Gaiden and Adventures of Lolo.

The Nintendo Switch Online subscription is a lot cheaper than the likes of the PlayStation Plus service, though of course you’re getting less bang for your buck.

12 months of Nintendo Online will set you back £17.99 for an individual membership or three months will cost £6.99.

Unlike PS Plus you won’t get monthly freebies, but you will get access to a bunch of online NES games and – of course – you’ll be able to play games like Mario Kart online.

Will you be subscribing?
