A limited-edition Pokemon-themed Nintendo Switch has just been unveiled by Nintendo and it’s cute AF.
Sharing a video of the Switch, Nintendo wrote: “Two Pokémon: Let’s Go Nintendo Switch limited hardware bundles arrive on 16/11!
“They each include a Nintendo Switch Pikachu & Eevee Edition system, the Poké Ball Plus accessory and a pre-installed version of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!”
Check them out below – will you be picking one of these up?
There’s no word on price yet, but this is one console that’s headed straight onto our wish list!
Pokemon’s upcoming titles, Let’s Go, Pikachu! and its sister-game, Let’s Go, Eevee! are arriving later this year, and we’re still getting treated to snippets of gameplay thanks to the lovely folks at Nintendo.
In a recent new trailer (which you can watch below) we can finally see some of the games’ Mega Evolution forms, with Mega Gyarados and Mega Kangaskhan making an appearance.
The gamplay footage shows the Mega Evolutions taking on some very sorry-looking Pokemon who probably regret entering into a battle with these bad boys.
Although the Let’s Go! games are meant to appeal to a more casual audience (Pokemon Go! players, essentially) there’s still set to be a decent amount of battling in the games for more seasoned Pokemon console players.
The Let’s Go! games will have you capture your Pokemon in a similar way to the GO! Mobile app – by throwing Pokeballs and using items rather than weakening a Pokemon as you do in the franchise’s main titles.
The reasoning behind this is that the standard method of capturing and battling Pokemon might put new users off trying the game as the turn-based combat style can be seen as quite difficult (although really I don’t know of any 90s kid who couldn’t master the battling system…)
Although they’re not the Nintendo Switch Pokemon titles that hardcore fans of the series might have been hoping for, Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee are still highly-anticipated games, already raking in the money for Nintendo thanks to their impressive pre-sales.
Both games will release on the Nintendo Switch on 16th November 2018, and you can also pick up an edition that includes your very own Pokeball, to aid in capturing your Pokemon when you’re on the move.
Are you excited for Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee? Which edition will you be picking up?
