Here Are Your New Free Games From The Epic Store

The Epic Games Store launched at the back-end of last year, and it’s seen a lot of success (and criticism) as it’s basically the biggest competitor to Steam right now.

One of the things that the Epic Store offers that rarely sees any controversy is its free monthly games. So far we’ve seen some absolutely 10/10 titles, including the likes of Super Meat Boy and What Remains of Edith Finch?.

The new offerings have just been announced by Epic, and they’re definitely worth downloading if you’ve signed up to the Epic Games Store!

First up we have Slime Rancher, which has been summed up pretty perfectly by one Reddit user who said: “Slime Rancher is a great ‘zen’ type of game, round up some slimes, feed them, grab their poop, sell it for money, repeat. It’s awesome.”

And it’s free! Well…it’s free up until March 21st 2019, which is when you have to install it by. Described as a “charming, first-person, sandbox experience,” you’re guaranteed to enjoy this one.

From March 21st we’ll then be able to pick up indie title, Oxenfree, which is an adventure game about friendship and strange time-bending events. This one packs a surprising amount into its casual veneer, and it’s one you really need to play a few times to get the most out of it.

Check out the Epic Games Store and download your monthly freebies right here.

Are you impressed with the offerings for March, or are you sticking to Steam?

Tensions between Valve and Epic reached an all-time-high last month, after it was announced that Metro: Exodus would be an Epic Games Store exclusive.

Steam fans aren’t keen on having to start a whole new library of games, or have a separate Epic account just for its exclusives. Luckily for fans of the upcoming CD Projekt Red title, Cyberpunk 2077, that’s something you won’t need to worry about!
