Call of Duty: Modern Warfare could be set to redefine CoD games as we know them, and I’m totally here for it.
Although we’re still a good few months away from the game’s release, Activision and Infinity Ward have been pretty loose-lipped about what we can expect from the upcoming title, which is good news for us.
The recently-revealed Modern Warfare Gunfight gameplay has given everyone a lot of food for thought, and it also just so happened to reveal three of the maps we can expect to see when the game drops.
In case you missed it, here’s everything we know about King, Pine and Stack [thanks, GamesRadar].

First up is King, which is a map that takes the shape of what looks like an indoor warehouse, decked out to look like a training area.
If you’re getting Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare vibes from this setting you’re not the only one, and we can’t help but think it’s intentionally reminiscent of the classic stage.

Looking a lot more au natural is Pine, a forest-based map that offers plenty of cover and stealth-kill opportunities. Probably not a map for the faint of heart, Pine looks like it’s going to be seriously fun to delve into.

Stack is another training area, but it does differ from King. The Stack map is set outdoors with a raised and open central platform. This map seems to be offering sweet FA in terms of cover, so this is probably a free-for-all when it comes to a match.
If you’re thinking that these maps are looking…well…a little on the small side, the general assumption is that this is because they’re exclusive to the Gunfight mode.
It’s not yet been confirmed just how many maps Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will have at launch, but hopefully we’ll hear an update sooner rather than later.
