UPDATE: 09/11: We’ve issued a small correction to the article to clear up some confusing wording.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition was announced in August and now we know how much it will cost to upgrade.
Skyrim has been released on just about every platform imaginable. In fact, it’s even playable on Amazon’s Alexa, we kid you not. Recently, the popular Bethesda RPG has even had its own board game adaptation announced.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is basically an upgrade of 2016’s Skyrim Special Edition, including the three expansions, Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn. However, this new port will feature improved visuals, loading times and more for free. Meanwhile it will also come bundled with 500 pieces of content from the game’s Creation Club for a small price.
How much will Skyrim Anniversary Edition cost?
Well, that’s why we’re here after all. So how much will this upgrade cost? This anniversary edition has an RRP of £47.99/$49.99/€54.99 on the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation digital storefronts.
In my opinion, this RRP seems a little high for what is essentially a 10-year-old game that has had so many re-releases, it could have its own region in Tamriel. That said, it is worth keeping in mind that if you own 2016’s Skyrim Special Edition, you will get a free upgrade to the Anniversary Edition.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition releases this week on November 11th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Will you be picking up the latest port of Skyrim? Let us know across our social media channels.
