At the PlayStation Showcase, we got our first look at Alan Wake Remastered with a gameplay trailer, as well as a release date.
Firstly, let’s briefly talk about the release date. Alan Wake Remastered will release next month on October 5th. So we only have less than a month to wait.
Originally released in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and later coming to PC, this is the first time that Alan Wake comes to the PlayStation brand. Alan Wake Remastered will come with the two pieces of story DLC, The Signal and The Writer. However, there has been no mention of the standalone game, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.
Enhanced for a new generation
Alan Wake Remastered will run at 4K and 60FPS on new-gen consoles. Previous gen consoles will offer players the choice of Performance (60FPS) and Quality (4K at 30FPS). The PlayStation 5 version of the game will also take advantage of the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
Other improvements include enhanced textures, lighting, audio, and a User Interface. The PlayStation Blog also mentions that Alan Wake Remastered will include “activity cards for each episode and mission of the game.” So it will be interesting to see how that works.
As a result of the Alan Wake Remastered gameplay reveal, we were also treated to a wealth of new screenshots for you to enjoy.
Alan Wake Remastered will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on October 5th. Are you looking forward to this remaster? Let us know across our social media channels.
