Here’s our first tease at the upcoming live-action Resident Evil series that is set to premiere on Netflix sometime next year.
The Resident Evil tease in question shows the iconic Cerberus aka the zombie dog, as well as a new logo and font for the series. Exciting!
Other than the recent animated Resident Evil series currently available on Netflix, there is also a live-action series on the way in 2022. The story of the live-action series will follow the tale of the Wesker daughters. Playing the role of the iconic Albert Wesker is Lance Reddick (John Wick, Fringe).
From what I’ve read up on this series so far, unlike the animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, this live-action series appears to not be canon and seems to be very much its own thing. Other than having some loose ties to the series.

The synopsis for the live-action Resident Evil series reads: “When the Wesker kids move to New Raccoon City, the secrets they uncover might just be the end of everything. Resident Evil, a new live-action series based on Capcom’s legendary survival horror franchise, is coming to Netflix.”
As reported by Variety, earlier this year we were treated to a cast photo of the Netflix series. The cast includes the aforementioned featuring Lance Reddick, as well as Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nuñez.
