Here’s our first look at Leon, Claire, Lisa Trevor, and the S.T.A.R.S team in the upcoming Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is a movie reboot of the iconic survival horror franchise. Written and directed by Johannes Roberts, this new movie has nothing to do with the ones from Paul W. Anderson.

Up until now, we’ve seen very little on Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, other than some on-set production images. However, courtesy of IGN, we now have our first proper look thanks to some images taken directly from the movie.
Welcome to Raccoon City aims to be a faithful adaptation
The images in question feature Lisa Trevor from the 2002 Resident Evil remake, S.T.A.R.S members entering the Spencer mansion, as well as Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.
Firstly, I think that Lisa Trevor looks amazing. The photo of this tragic character looks very faithful to the source material, complete with her wearing the skin of her victims as a mask.

The second image shows from right-to-left, Chris Redfield (Robbie Amell), Jill Valentine (Hannah John-Kamen), Richard Aiken (Chad Rook), and Albert Wesker (Tom Hopper). All, in my opinion, look great, minus the Wesker shades and Barry Burton.

The third and final image of Leon and Claire seems to be the main topic of conversation across social media. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Avan Jogia (Leon S. Kennedy) and Kaya Scodelario (Claire Redfield) will do a fine job representing the beloved characters. However, I can’t help but think that Avan Jogia would have made a fantastic Carlos Oliveira from Resident Evil 3.

That all being said, it’s obvious that this reboot is being made with a love for the franchise and for the most part, looks to be very faithful.
