Hogwarts Legacy’s release date delayed until 2023

Hogwarts Legacy has had its release date pushed back to 2023 after a new announcement on Twitter.

Hogwarts Legacy is a new open-world action RPG set in the world of Harry Potter. Players can explore Hogwarts and learn how to cast spells, take care of beasts and fight monsters.

Previously, Hogwarts Legacy was on track to launch this holiday season in 2022. But it seems that the game wasn’t quite ready, and has now been pushed back a few weeks into the start of February 2023. The game will now launch on February 10th, 2023.

Hogwarts Legacy release date Delayed

A tweet by the official account reads “Hogwarts Legacy” will launch on February 10, 2023 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The Nintendo Switch launch date will be revealed soon. The team is excited for you to play, but we need a little more time to deliver the best possible game experience.”

As you can see this delay affects all versions of the game, including PlayStation, Xbox and PC. The game is releasing on new and old-gen consoles. The Nintendo Switch version is releasing at an even later date.

Some new videos have been released in recent months showing more of the game in action. However, there’s still plenty we don’t know about the game ahead of its new release date.

Additionally, the game has caused controversy due to the transphobic comments spread by author J.K.Rowling. Warner Bros assured that the author is not involved with the game, despite the fact that she profits from it. It also claims that she is “entitled” to her own views, despite how harmful they may be.

The team also made a point out of the idea that you can also create a transgender character in the game, though really it seems to just be a standard character creator.
