Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusives, but its days as a PS4-only title might be coming to a close if a recent new rumour is to believed.
Known video games leaker and Russian YouTuber Anton Logvinov correctly predicted the upcoming release of Death Stranding on PC, and now he’s at it again – this time with Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn.
In a new video [via GamesRadar], Logvinov claims that “Horizon Zero Dawn will be available on PC on February next year” and that the official announcement “will be soon.”
As always, take the rumour with a pinch of salt, because there’s one pretty interesting issue with this particular idea. Guerrilla Games is a first-party studio owned by Sony, whereas Death Stranding comes from a partnership between Kojima Productions and PlayStation. Would Sony really look to release a first-party title on another platform?
Only time will tell whether or not Horizon Zero Dawn is coming to PC, but even if it doesn’t, it’s only a matter of time before we see a return to the game in one way or another.
Guerrilla Games recently posted some very interesting-looking open positions within the company, and they more or less spell out that HZD sequel is in the works.
One of the job vacancies searched for a Technical Vegetation Artist, writing that the role would focus on “the creation of vegetation assets that are used to dress the game world.”
The listing explained: “Within Guerrilla, we have four teams dedicated to creating the stunning environments of Horizon [and] one team focuses on the creation of lush and stunning vegetation.”
That sounds suspiciously like a sequel is on the cards if you ask me…
