How To Watch The Game Awards 2021 Later This Week

We’re just a few days away from The Game Awards. 2021’s last big hurrah to the gaming industry. The annual event features reveals, interviews, insights, and not surprisingly, also awards. Hosted by Geoff Keighley – a fistbump in human form – the awards are now in their 7th year of celebrating the video game industry.

In recent years, more and more developers have turned to the awards as a place to reveal major projects. Just last year, Nintendo used the event to reveal that Sephiroth would be heading to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The year before that Kojima revealed the first gameplay trailer for Death Stranding.

While it may not be as well-discussed as E3 in the wider entertainment sphere, there’s no doubt that The Game Awards are an important addition to the annual calendar. This year’s physical event will be the first since the show went fully digital last year during COVID. Viewers can expect a lively audience – complete with whooping – and plenty of exciting reveals.

So, how can you watch The Game Awards?

The good news is, you’re not going to be short of places to watch The Game Awards. Viewers will be able to watch the event across pretty much every platform, including all of the social media channels. The Game Awards will even be watchable on Tik Tok, for those people reading this who are under the age of 25.

For those in the UK, it is going to be a late one as the event starts streaming at 12:30am GMT. Americans can look forward to a much more sensible time of 4:30pm PST. From 12:30am GMT on Friday 10th, viewers can watch the event through the following channels.

YouTube
Twitch
Twitter
Facebook Live
Steam
Oculus Venues
TikTok Live

If you visit any one of these platforms shortly before the event goes live, there should be a stream ready to go with a countdown to the event.
